September

This is the 75th edition and 9th  issue this year of the Dojo’s newsletter.

Well September is here and the summer is over, bye summer, we will miss you. But the Patriots start their season this Monday on MNF on espn. I can’t wait for this game and for #12 to return. One good thing for the Adult class is that they only play twice on Monday night. Well on to the news.

August was a great month for us. I had a vacation with lots of relaxation. We also ran 2 karate camps. The kids had a blast and so did the staff, thanks for the help Miss Salvas.

September is looking to keep in the tradition of being very busy. We have several things going on:

Dojo back to school sleep over is planned for September 19th. Students are welcome to bring friends with them. This is a great way to show off the dojo and have a great time. Space is limited to so sign up early.

We start our annual enrollment contest. To put it simply: the student that gets the most new students to join the dojo wins 300.00 Dojo Dollars Please see the flyer for all the details.

Tournament starts this month. Any student that wants to compete in the November Tournament should see me ASAP!

Our back to school back packs are in, check them out.

The dojo will be holding a Kick-a-thon next month to raise money for homeless veterans. We will be passing out all the information and paper work next week during classes. Our dojo has a history of helping our fellow man and I am asking everyone who is part of our dojo community  to do what you can to help with this worthy cause.

Flu season is upon us and to help keep the outbreaks to a minimum we ask that all students wash or
sanitize their hands before each class. Also make sure you wash your Gi and T-shirt after every class. If you feel sick or some one in your house has flu like symptom’s please don’t come to class.

In closing I want to challenge every student in the dojo, who is going back to school, to take charge of your education. Get involved, join a club, find something that excites you and then explore it thru research in your schools library. You hold the key to your future, are you going to use it?
