OctoberThis is the 76th edition and 10th issue this year of the Dojo’s newsletter. Fall is here and the weather is starting to get chilly. The Pats are playing and working on getting themselves in sync. The kids are back to school and getting use to the schedule. I love this time of year. The demonstration team performed last week end at the Faire on the Square. They demonstrated in front of a large crowd and rocked them. I want to thank them for all their hard work. This is the last call for any student that wants to compete in the up coming tournament. The tournament team meets on Wednesdays from 4-5 to practice. Please talk to any of the Sensei’s or Anita for the details. October is going to be a wonderful time to be part of the dojo. We are going to be able to help our Nations Veterans. As all of you know by now, we are holding a Kick-A-Thon this month, along with a raffle to raise funds for the New England Center for Homeless Veterans (NECHV). We are holding contest to see which class raises the most money. The first place class wins a bag full of pieces of paper that have fun and exciting things for the class to do or not do written on them (no push ups for the class, sensei’s do 50 push ups, game days, etc….). The winning class gets to draw once a week for a month. Also we will be giving out awards to the students that raise the most money per class and does the most kicks per class. So get out there and sell those tickets and get those sponsors. With the fund raiser going on lets not forget the enrollment contest we are having. We have had quite a few students refer people and a couple have signed up so far. The race is on and there is still time left to win that $300 Dojo Dollars. If you need more cards see any Sensei or Anita. The winner will be announced at the Dojo Halloween party. The dojo is holding its 6th Annual Halloween party this month. These parties have gotten bigger every year. This year we are bringing back scarystories in the dark, theeating the donut on a string, costume contest, and more. This event is tons of fun and every one has a great time. Please let us know if you are planning on attending. Space this year is limited. Last but not least; we are switching to the winter GI affective now. All students must wear either their Gi top or long sleeve shirt to class.
