November Newsletter

This is the 65th edition and 11th issue this year of the Dojo’s newsletter.

November is here and it is starting to get chilly. I can’t wait for Thanksgiving and the start of the Holiday season. The Patriots are playing without #12 and they seem to be holding their own. I still have hopes of making it to the play off’s. Now the news.

October was a fantastic month for the Dojo. Our Dojo’s tournament team competed in the World Martial Arts Federations Fall Tournament and won 17 trophies. I want to congratulate them on a job well done. You can see the teams photograph in the Watertown Tab’s October 31, edition on page 7. We also held our annual Halloween costume party on the 25th, over 60 people in costumes came and had a blast playing games and making up scary stories. I want to thank Jack B’s Step dad (Lars) and Daniel V’s Mom (Maria) for helping set the party up. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. We also conducted a test and everyone passed. Good job gang. Now on to Novembers news.

This month we are having a dojo movie night on Saturday the 15th. The movie this time will be Kung Fu Panda. It’s going to be a great night of Pizza, games, and the Panda movie.

With the Holidays starting and people getting busy with everything that goes into the holidays, I want to remind every student to check the schedule and see when the dojo will be closed.

We will be holding a Karate camp the day after Thanksgiving. This camp day is karate games and fun all day. Space is limited so se Anita for the details and to save your spot.

I want to welcome back Colleen to the tigers class after her being out with a broken arm.

The enrollment contest is over and Ado from the Advanced 2 class won by bringing in 2 new students to the tigers class. Thank you Ado and enjoy the $300 Dojo Dollars and Thank You to everyone who brought in new students.

With the last test and students moving into new classes along with all the new students enrolled in the school. I wan to remind every student the rule on being late. If you are not on your dot with your card in hand ready for class when the gong rings you are late and have to do push ups to be able to join the class. So do your best to be on time.

Also we are in the winter Gi now and all students must have all the patches sewn on their Gi tops. If you need patches see Anita. You can wear a long sleeve School Shirt instead of your GI top to class.

Lets have a great November!

Strength and Honor,
Sensei Craig
