Craigs Kempo Karate Academy Monthly Newsletter
This is the first newsletter of 2013 and I want to take this moment to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
I am really excited for this upcoming year. The Dojo will be 10 years old this march and Anita and I are very excited about this milestone. We are planning a big party and as we get closer we will give out more details.
This year the dojo’s tournament team will be competing in the KRANE tournament series. Through out New England as well as local tournaments.
September is here, that means back to school for the kids and new schedules for the parents. It also brings with it Patriots football. I love this time of year!
I didn’t write a news letter the last two months so we have a lot to catch up on.
First and foremost I want to congratulate our dojo’s 3 new Black Belts, Noam H., Daniel A, and Vanna P. They all earned their Shodan in June.
June is here and it is starting to feel more like April with all the rain and cool weather. Lets hope that the weather gets back to summer type soon.
June is a super busy time of the year for us here at the Dojo. So before I go into the news for June I want to make a few
comments about May. The dojo’s tournament team competed in the World Martial Arts Federations spring tournament and did an awesome job.
May is here and the weather so far reminds me of April. Its been cool and rainy for the last couple of days. I cant wait for the sunshine to come back.
April is here and the weather is starting to change to spring. I have to admit we had a very mild winter and I hope the summer follows suit. Now onto the news:
Before we dive into Aprils news I just want to quickly recap last month. We held our 9th Anniversary Dinner and it was a big hit. We had a great turn out and everyone had a wonderful time.
March is upon us and it is currently raining outside. This winter has been a pretty mild one for us this year. I’m not complaining but I would have at least liked to use my snow blower this year. On to the news for this month.
February is here and I waited to publish the news letter till after the Super Bowl. The Pats faced the New York Giants in Super Bowl 46. the game was a battle and our Pats came out on the losing side. The Giants played hard and showed the indomitable spirit and deserved the win. I cant wait for next year. On to the Dojo News:
The New Year is upon us and I’m feeling great. Anita and I are very excited about the upcoming year and the plans we have for the Dojo. The patriots finished the regular season as the top seed in the AFC and I believe we are Super Bowl bound. (I had to sneak that in there.) now on to the news.
Winter is here and so is the snow. I mean really, Snow the day before Halloween, are you kidding me. I hope this is not a sign of things to come. Now onto the news:
T he fall is here and the leaves are starting to change. Its time for long sleeves and sweaters while watching the Patriots play. Now on to the news.
