This is the 73rd edition and 5th  issue this year of the Dojo’s newsletter.

July is here and so is summer (well it’s suppose to be!). I can’t wait until the sunshine comes back. Well I have a lot to cover this month so on to the news.

First thing I want to mention is the Dojo will be closed 7/3 thru 7/5 for the holiday weekend. I wish every one a Happy 4th of July. Enjoy the cook outs and fire works.
 
We held a Black Test and ceremony last month and If I may dare to say “it was AWSOME!” I had a great time and I hope all of you that attended did as well. I want to congratulate once again Jackie, Enrico, Cody, on earning there Black Belt ranks. I am very proud to have you as my students.  I also want to give a Special thank you to Emmy (Sam’s Mom), Barbara (Matt’s Mom), and Ron (Cody’s Dad) for all there help with the ceremony.

We are holding an other glow chuck night this month. The last two
seminars were a big hit and I want to follow up this month with the level 2 seminar. In this one, I will teach a glow chuck form that looks fantastic at night. Only students that took the level one seminar may
attend. 

We are holding an other test this month and the test list will be posted on the 2nd.

We are looking for students to join the Tournament team for the upcoming W.M.A.F fall tournament. If you want to compete please see me and I will give you all the details. The team is currently training  for the weapons division and will train for the other divisions as the tournament draws closer. 

We also have a weapons class that is open to all students who are purple belt and above. The class meets on Saturday at 10am. If you want to come to this class please see me or Anita for the details.

We still have room in our August summer camps. Sign up now before we are full.

We are constantly making improvements to our website. We will be adding a new students only area with lots of information for each class including  things like video’s and lesson plans. I will let every one know when it goes live. Also we have added a dojo blog  section to the web site. With blogs written by Me, Anita, and soon the other Sensei’s. Also the dojo has a face book page, just search  for Craig’s Kempo Karate and become a fan. You should check the site regularly for updates and changes.

With the summer here and hopefully the sun shine, I want to remind every student to practice.
